More about Grecian…

Who is Grecian? So a few of you on Insta wanted to know more about me so why not pop those questions up on a blog for you guys to read !

Q. What did you do before becoming a mummy?

Work wise I have had a few jobs mostly in the customer service field. From working with Coles as a checkout chick to Customer Service Manager at the age of 18, to waitressing at an Italian Restaurant, to Door Girl at a NightClub and now to working at a Gym where I love my job completely. Just before trying to conceive Adelyn I finished my Cert 3 and 4 in Fitness allowing me to find a job in the industry before having kids. I am certainly grateful that my job is secure being a community gym 🙂

Q. What age did you get married?

Justin and I married in 2013 when we were both 23 years old.

Q. Do you have any siblings?

Yes, I have a brother who is 10 years older then me.

Q. How do you balance work and family?

This can be tough but I am lucky that Justins roster is 2 days, 2 nights then 4 days off – so it allows me to work on those days he is home. Before the twins I was part time at the gym but when I returned I made the decision to drop down to Casual so I could balance my home/work life better. If I kept my part time contract we would literally be tag teaming every day and there would be no family time. This was such a hard decision to make as I love my job and means less income coming in but it was the right thing to do.

Q. Did you always want kids?

Yes! I’ve always been around kids, whether its babysitting or nannying, I am such a maternal person. Its funny as pretty much 90% of the families I have babysat/nannied, have all girls… so I was very prepared and excited when we found out all our pregnancies were girls haha! I’ve even nannied a family with exactly the same family as ours – twins and a toddler with same age gap – I think this prepared me well haha!

Q. Did you suffer PND or PNA with Adelyn?

Nope! I felt amazing after Adelyn! I was always confused when others said they were suffering with PND and I just couldn’t understand why as I hadn’t experienced it. Now after the twins I completely understand and support any one suffering with PTSD, PND and PNA. Its something that is starting to be talked about more in society and I think that is amazing! We should share that it is normal to experience these feelings and that you are not alone – help is only a shout out away.

Q. Did you enjoy High School?

Not really nope. I went to an all girls school and was bullied because of my big boobs and weight back then. No one deserves to be bullied but taking a positive from it – it allowed me to grow as a person. I suffered some depression back then because of it. Its funny how much you change and grow from high school. Like I rarely speak to any one from High School!

Q. What do you do for your me time?

My fav go to me time is a good session at the gym. There is something about chucking on my headphones with good music and blocking out the world all whilst lifting some heavy weight haha. Other than this I love Op Shopping too!

Q. Favourite foods?

  1. Icecream
  2. Pizza
  3. Japanese
  4. White Chocoloate…

No greens in this list hahaha

Q. Being a PT, have you always been into Fitness?

Ah 100% not haha. I hated sports in highschool! It was only after my breast reduction that I was actually able to do any sort of exercise. Once I started I really enjoyed weight training! It has taken many years of different exercise fads for me to find my happy place with my training, especially as a mother now. Its just not realistic for me to train like I want to every day like I used to pre-kids. Now it is all about getting in sessions when I can, doing it for me and not for aesthetics, and doing it for my mental health. Oh how things change !
